Ezoic Revenue Calculator

Enter your monthly sessions, pages per visit, niche and where your readers live, and this calculator returns a monthly Ezoic estimate with a low-to-high range. Every figure is a benchmark-based estimate, so treat it as a planning number rather than a promise.

Assumptions behind the estimate

The calculator turns sessions into pageviews, then multiplies them by an RPM, the amount earned per 1,000 pageviews. Ezoic tests ad placements and layouts automatically, and we cannot model each test, so the table below gives one blended RPM per region tier. It assumes four ad units per page at 60% viewability with display, in-article and sticky units switched on.

  • Baseline RPM: Ezoic is modelled at roughly $9.50 for Tier 1 readers, $4.00 for Tier 2 and $1.10 for Tier 3, before niche or layout adjustments. That is about a third above AdSense in every tier, and well below the managed networks such as Mediavine.
  • Niche: your topic scales the base figure, from 0.65x for news and entertainment up to 1.9x for finance and business. The General setting sits at 0.8x.
  • Formats: all five web formats are available. Display, in-article and sticky are on by default. Switching on outstream video adds about 40% to the reference RPM, and an interstitial adds about 15%.
  • Layout: extra ad units help with diminishing returns, so going from four units to nine lifts the estimate by about half. Viewability moves the result in proportion to the 60% baseline.
  • Entry: since February 2026, new sites need about 250,000 monthly users, and the calculator checks your monthly sessions against that figure. Sites already monetizing with Ezoic before then are grandfathered, and smaller sites can apply to the Ezoic Incubator.
  • Range: the low and high figures are 0.7x and 1.35x the central estimate, which allows for seasonal swings and the noise of a testing system.

Revenue share, invalid-traffic filtering and consent effects are folded into the benchmark RPMs, so you do not need to subtract anything. The methodology page explains where the baselines come from, and website RPM by niche shows why the same traffic can earn very different amounts in different topics.

Example scenarios

Three example sites show how niche, audience and layout interact. Each row is run through the same engine as the calculator above, with the Ezoic RPMs from the table and the same format weights.

Three example inputs and the monthly estimate the engine returns
ScenarioInputsMonthly estimate
Young travel blogA part-time travel site with a balanced audience and the default three formats, a few months into Ezoic, for example through the Incubator.Travel, 8,000 sessions a month at 1.5 pages each (12,000 pageviews), Balanced global mix, 4 ads per page, 55% viewable, formats: Display (banner), In-article / native, Sticky / anchor$50$35 to $68
Established health siteA steady health and wellness site with mostly US and UK readers that joined Ezoic before 2026 and has added outstream video.Health & Wellness, 60,000 sessions a month at 2 pages each (120,000 pageviews), Tier 1 lean, 5 ads per page, 62% viewable, formats: Display (banner), In-article / native, Sticky / anchor, Video (outstream)$1,226$858 to $1,655
Large technology publisherA high-traffic technology site with a Tier 1 lean, six units per page, video and a capped interstitial.Technology, 300,000 sessions a month at 2.2 pages each (660,000 pageviews), Tier 1 lean, 6 ads per page, 60% viewable, formats: Display (banner), In-article / native, Sticky / anchor, Video (outstream), Interstitial$7,822$5,475 to $10,559

Compare the rows with each other rather than reading any one of them as a forecast. The middle site earns far more per pageview than the travel blog, partly from a better-paying niche and partly from video. The first two sites sit below the new-site bar of 250,000 monthly users, so they stand for sites that joined before February 2026 or came in through the Incubator. To test your own numbers, use the main calculator, and see website ad formats compared before switching on every format.

Methods
PayPal or bank transfer; typical terms, confirm in your own account

Ezoic pays monthly on net terms of 30 days or more, so money earned in one month arrives at least a month after that month closes. The minimum payout is low and depends on the payment method you choose, with PayPal and bank transfer the usual options. These are typical terms at the time of writing, so confirm the current ones in your own Ezoic account.

Add your payment and tax details as soon as the account is open, because a missing form is a common reason for a held payment. If you live outside the US, the method you pick affects fees and exchange rates, and small monthly payments feel those costs most. Receiving ad payouts abroad compares the options.

Give the testing time before you judge it

Ezoic changes placements and layouts as it learns what works on your pages, so the first weeks can be uneven. Judge it on a full month of data, and compare RPM for the same pages and the same season rather than your best month on another network.

Keep an eye on page speed while it tests. More ad units and video players add weight, and a slow or jumpy page can cost search traffic, which matters more than any RPM gain. Ads and Core Web Vitals explains what to watch, and the Ezoic guide covers setup and integration choices in more detail.

Ezoic FAQ

Do I need a minimum amount of traffic to join Ezoic?

For new sites, yes. Since February 2026 Ezoic has asked for about 250,000 monthly users, as its requirements page explains. Sites already monetizing with Ezoic before then are grandfathered, and smaller sites can apply to the Ezoic Incubator. Your content still has to meet its policies, so check the current requirements on the Ezoic site before you apply.

Why is Ezoic modelled above AdSense but below Mediavine?

The benchmark ranges put Ezoic about a third above AdSense per pageview and a little over half of Mediavine in Tier 1. Managed networks with traffic minimums tend to pay more per pageview. Run the same inputs through the AdSense calculator and the Mediavine calculator to see the gap for your site.

Should I switch on video and interstitials straight away?

They add about 40% and 15% to the reference RPM in this model, which is a large lift on paper. In practice a video player that pushes content around or an interstitial that interrupts reading can lower pageviews per session. Add one at a time and watch both RPM and engagement.

Why does my Ezoic dashboard show a different RPM from this estimate?

Dashboards often report earnings per visit or per thousand visitors, while this page uses RPM per thousand pageviews. Season, testing and traffic mix also move the number. Convert to the same unit first, and read eCPM explained for how the metrics relate.

Can more traffic from Tier 1 countries really matter more than more traffic overall?

Often it does. Moving the location slider from the far left to the far right raises the Tier 1 share of readers from about 5% to about 70%, and Tier 1 pageviews are modelled at more than eight times the Tier 3 rate. A smaller US and UK audience can out-earn a much larger global one.
