About the market
Ireland is a Tier 2 country in our model. It is English-speaking and shares a great deal of media, brands and advertiser demand with the United Kingdom, and plenty of UK-targeted advertising reaches Irish users too, which could argue for placing it higher. We keep it in Tier 2 because the market is much smaller and fewer advertisers buy Irish audiences on their own terms, so treat the rates here as a cautious starting point rather than a UK equivalent. Airlines and travel, banking, insurance, telecoms, retail, betting and the large technology and pharmaceutical sectors all advertise. Seasonality centres on the run-up to Christmas, the summer holiday season, and sport, notably Gaelic games, rugby and the Premier League.
iPhones are popular and hold a large share of smartphones, so the iOS uplift matters. English is the working language of nearly all content, and Irish appears mainly in education and official settings, so there is little reason to localise beyond local references, spelling and euro pricing. The Data Protection Commission in Dublin is the lead European regulator for many large technology companies, so GDPR is taken seriously and consent banners are expected to give a genuine choice. As elsewhere in the EU, a portion of visitors will decline personalised ads. Many Irish readers also follow UK news and sport, so your analytics may show a mixed audience. Property, finance, travel, parenting and food are reliable topics.

Getting paid from Ireland
Irish publishers are normally paid by bank transfer into a euro account, and SEPA keeps euro payments cheap. Dollar payments are converted by the bank, and the exchange margin is where costs appear, so some publishers use a multi-currency account or a transfer specialist. Fees and options vary by bank, so check each network's payment settings for the currencies and payout routes available.
All figures come from our benchmark tables: Android eCPMs by tier, category or niche multipliers, modelled fill and the iOS multiplier. They are estimates for planning, not quotes.
