How much does Unity Ads pay per rewarded video view?
Updated · Every figure on this page is an estimate from our benchmark tables, not a quote from any network.
The short answer
Unity Ads prices rewarded video per 1,000 views, so a single view earns only a small amount: a cent or two in Tier 1 countries and a fraction of a cent in Tier 3. Region, platform and genre decide where your game lands, and the table above shows our estimates for each case.
The numbers
| Tier 1 | Tier 2 | Tier 3 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Android | $13.00 | $5.20 | $1.30 |
| iOS | $16.90 | $6.76 | $1.69 |
| Android · /1 | $0.0130 | $0.0052 | $0.0013 |
| iOS · /1 | $0.0169 | $0.0068 | $0.0017 |
The last two rows divide the eCPM by 1,000 to show the estimated value of a single completed view.
What moves the number
Networks price rewarded video as eCPM, the revenue per 1,000 impressions, so the value of one view is the eCPM divided by 1,000. Rewarded video is Unity's strongest format and among the best-paying placements in mobile advertising, because players choose to watch and usually finish, and many of the ads promote other games looking for engaged players.
The value of a view moves with region first. Tier 1 rates in our tables are several times Tier 3 rates, so the same game can earn very different amounts per view depending on its audience. iOS players add an uplift over Android. Genre also counts: mid-core and strategy games sit above the baseline in our model, while hypercasual games sit below it. Fill rate trims the total, since not every request is filled.
Because each view earns so little, income grows with the number of rewarded views per player rather than with the rate alone. Offer rewards that players actually want, place them at natural decision points, and avoid giving away so much that players stop needing them. Running Unity inside mediation alongside other networks can raise the average price per view. Unity typically pays monthly, usually 30 or more days after month end, with a threshold of around $100 depending on the account, so allow for that delay.
Remember that a view only earns when it completes and is attributed, and fill is never perfect, so revenue per rewarded button press is a little lower than the per-view figure. The bigger lever is how often players choose to watch. Offers that feel generous and well timed, such as a revive after a close loss, get pressed far more often than generic coin bundles.
